Why take an allergy and intolerance test?

Our advanced allergy and intolerance testing can help with a variety of conditions, including:

  • Excess weight gain/weight loss
  • Loss of appetite
  • Digestive problems, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Skin complaints, including acne and eczema
  • Diabetes
  • Blood pressure
  • Hay fever
  • Menstrual and hormonal problems
  • Fatigue

Please note: our allergy testing is not suitable for pregnant women, children under 3 or anyone with a pacemaker.

As a nutrition advisor, part of my follow-up service includes working with you to help you understand your body better – what it needs, as well as what it doesn't! This might include general weight management with advice on nutrition and diet, or looking at your overall lifestyle and making recommendations for living a healthier life.

In this way, we hope to help you to find the best way to manage any long-term health conditions such as diabetes, eczema, blood pressure and IBS or other digestive problems.

    My story

My own story and how I started out…

A couple of years ago, I was living in Altrincham and close to being diabetic, suffering from acne and a number of other side effects as a result of taking a range of different pills and medicines. A friend suggested I might be allergic to certain things in my diet, which I’d never considered.

I found myself thinking how wonderful if might be if I could just know which things were causing the problems. I’d simply take them out of my diet.

So after looking in to it, I went for an allergy and intolerance test and was surprised when it showed clearly what I needed to avoid (in my case, dairy products). I was stunned at how quickly I started to feel better and how, over time, I was able to reduce – and finally stop – taking most of my medication.

After making slight changes to my diet and lifestyle, I noticed a huge change within myself. It really was that simple.

Using my experience to help others

This first-hand experience helped develop my interest in allergy testing and inspired me to become a specialist allergy and health practitioner and advisor.

The first step was to start researching about food and how it affects the human body; how certain vitamins, minerals and supplements help support us and the effects they have on us as individuals. This was so that I could start to bring the same benefits I was enjoying to others.

That was 18 months ago and I’m now helping more and more people in the Manchester area take control of their health and find a non-invasive route to wellbeing.
